Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Test Automation Engineer will lead efforts in building testing frameworks, tools and / or expand existing frameworks. The tool / s will take into account both functional and load tests. These frameworks allow us to test in end to end multi-component environments. The engineer must be compatible with Dev / QA issues using the tool and the implementation of test automation scripts. Integrate the framework with test management tool (Quality Center) is preferred.
The Senior Test Automation Engineer must be able to assume leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of automation efforts, and the timetable and priorities. The engineer will work with management, developers and quality assurance personnel to meet these objectives.
In addition, test automation engineer will be involved after that test automation can run on different environments (system, functional, Dev). Operating in different environments will ensure that the code falls to quality is of highest quality.
Key Requirements:
• 10 + years of overall development and test experience
• 5 + years experience as a software developer
• 3 years C / C + + programming experience in Linux or Unix
• 2 years experience in Java programming
• Experience in Grinder, QTP, RTP, or any other Ixia test automation tools, as well as
• The basic software architecture (a measure of system design highly reusable, extensible software)
• Working knowledge of industry scripting languages - prefer (Python / Jython, Groovy, Ruby)
• Good knowledge of Unix Shell scripts written in (BASH, C Shell, Korn Shell)
• CVS experience (Subversion is a bonus)
• Linux (Red Hat AS), and Apache, Tomcat administrator and user experience
• Networking and troubleshooting skills highly desirable
• Experience with "make" and "ant"
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• careful attention to detail
• strong team player and starter
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• MS courses / Computer Science or related field
