The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
Both are full-time assignment of the contract for 21 months, from November 1, 2011, July 31, 2013.
The two positions, based on DSS (Department of conversion of debt), Islamabad: Although administratively and technically part of the Economic Affairs Division (EAD), with a line to a local representative of CIDA. Debt conversion for education Minister of Education (DFEC) and defc Coordinator will work closely with the team of DSS, the provincial and federal project teams Management Unit, education and financial advisors CIDA-PSU (Unit Support program) in Islamabad and other members of the CIDA-PSU team as needed.
Below is a summary of the position of mandatory requirements and selection procedures.
DFFC0 Education Advisor
Mandatory Requirements
Master's degree or doctorate in education or related social sciences
More than 15 years of experience in the education sector, including services and development of future teachers and training
Candidates must have:
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work efficiently
Understand the rules of the Pakistani government, regulations and procedures
Financial management experience (desirable but not mandatory)
Experience and knowledge of design, planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs and integrating the cross-cutting themes of gender equality, good governance and environmental sustainability
Knowledge of public education in Pakistan
Excellent oral and written skills in Urdu and English
Proficiency in MS Office and Windows environment
Willingness to travel extensively in Pakistan
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships while maintaining the highest standards of integrity
And the selection process
Application process and selection involves the following steps:
I. Presentation by e-mail for position hr23@cidapsu.org.pk DFEC Advisor Training and coordination hr24@cidapsu.org.pk DFEC before 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 with a cover letter (maximum two pages ) and summary CV (3 pages maximum) in MS Word format. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview and written test to assess their technical capabilities and knowledge.
ii. An offer will be made to the candidate ranked first for each position with a salary based on the determination of CIDA's internal costs for the position and responsibilities.
