Team Leader Consultant - Danish Red Cross - Islamabad

The Danish Red Cross is looking for an experienced consultant disaster risk reduction leads to the evaluation project "Community-based program to reduce disaster risk for vulnerable, mountainous nation of Nepal and Pakistan." This three-year project implemented in solukumbu district, Nepal, and the district of Bagh, Pakistan, Nepal, along with the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Pakistan. The evaluation focuses on the following criteria: relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, sustainability and management of the partnership. The assessment method does not require a survey.

The evaluation will take place November 14 to December 16 2011. The evaluation of the project will be presented and discussed at the DRC, and parts of up to 8 days after the end of the mission. The final evaluation report will be sent no later than January 2, 2012.

The following are the qualifications of the consultant team leader;

Masters in a relevant field for Disaster Reduction;

Demonstrated experience in successful international project evaluations using participatory evaluation methods.

Extensive experience in Nepal and Pakistan, local language skills a priority;

Excellent written and spoken English:

Knowledge of EC funded projects and benefits.
